  • 1977 – The Fleetwood Mac album Rumours regained the #1 spot after a tussle with Hotel California from the Eagles, which was able to hold on to #1 for seven weeks
  • 1977 – Rod Stewart was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with the double A sided single ‘I Don’t Want To Talk About It / First Cut Is The Deepest.’
