Priscilla Presley has welcomed a special new addition to her family, and his story is enough to warm any animal lover’s heart. The 81-year-old actress and former wife of Elvis Presley recently introduced her new companion, Toby, a 10-year-old rescue dog who endured difficult circumstances before finding a loving home.

In the heartwarming video, Presley explained that someone who knew about her love for animals contacted her after learning about Toby’s situation. The little dog had been living on the streets and struggling to survive before receiving help. Recalling his condition, she shared that he had been starving and had clearly not received proper care. Although she does not know whether Toby ran away or how he ended up homeless, she expressed gratitude that she could give him a safe and comfortable place to live.

Presley described Toby as a “sweet little lover” who enjoys sleeping beside her. Despite being 10, he remains lively and has adjusted well to his new home. She emphasized the importance of patience with rescued animals, especially those who have experienced neglect. Delighted by his progress, she praised his affectionate nature, good behavior, and love for people.

Toby isn’t the only senior rescue dog enjoying life in Presley’s home. He has also developed a surprisingly easy friendship with Boz, her 15-year-old companion. The actress admitted that she initially wondered how the two dogs would react to each other, particularly because introducing a new pet can sometimes create tension. However, Boz welcomed the newcomer without difficulty, and the pair now get along beautifully. Presley previously revealed that she rescued Boz as a puppy after seeing a newspaper plea for help, traveling from California to Arizona to bring him home.

Presley’s decision to adopt another senior dog follows the loss of her longtime rescue companion, Ridley, in April 2026. She shared an emotional tribute, remembering his loyalty and the comfort he brought her. Beyond preserving Elvis Presley’s legacy, she has long supported animal welfare causes. Her latest adoption reflects that dedication, giving an older dog a loving, secure home and companionship in his later years.
