The oldest Brady kid is 72. Barry Williams was born on September 30, 1954, in Santa Monica, California, and he was a teenager when ‘The Brady Bunch’ made him Greg Brady for life. The series ran on ABC from 1969 to 1974. More than half a century later he is still answering questions about it, and he still seems to enjoy every one.
He proved that earlier this month at RetroCon in Pennsylvania. According to People, a fan asked what he thought of Greg growing up to become a doctor in the later Brady sequels. “It would make sense to me that Greg would grow up to take care of people as a doctor and so I thought it was a pretty good fit,” Williams said. He was less convinced by another sibling’s path. “I’m not sure I bought Bobby as a race car driver,” he joked. Parade reports that he also told the crowd he still owns the tiki idol from the famous Hawaii episodes.
Barry Williams Has Made Peace With Greg Brady

That ease took time. Williams told Billy Corgan’s podcast this year that being called Greg once felt like a threat to his identity, a conversation DYR covered when he explained why the name was not easy to carry.

Today he lives in Branson, Missouri, with his wife Tina Mahina, whom he married in 2017.
He competed on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ in 2023 and spent part of this past winter on the Australian edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ A man who keeps saying yes to adventures like those is clearly having a groovy time.
