The Tanner family may have already returned to television once, but Candace Cameron Bure would happily open the door to that famous San Francisco home again. The actress recently revealed that she would love to revisit D.J. Tanner for a third version of the beloved family sitcom.
According to People, Full House first introduced audiences to the Tanner family in 1987, while Netflix’s “Fuller House” brought many of those familiar faces back more than two decades later. Now, Bure says another Full House reboot would be a dream, even suggesting a playful title for the next chapter: “Fullest House.”

During an interview with Woman’s World, Bure was asked which character from her past she would most like to play again. She did not hesitate. The actress said she would love a third iteration of the franchise, joking that “Fullest House” could follow the original series and its Netflix sequel.
Bure first played Donna Jo “D.J.” Tanner as a child on Full House, which ran for eight seasons from 1987 through 1995. The sitcom followed widowed father Danny Tanner, played by Bob Saget, as he raised daughters D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle with help from Jesse Katsopolis and Joey Gladstone. John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Lori Loughlin helped turn the show into one of the era’s most recognizable family comedies.
Bob Saget’s Absence Would Make Another Return Bittersweet
Netflix revived the Tanner family with “Fuller House” in 2016, placing D.J. at the center as an adult raising her own children. The sequel ran for five seasons before ending in 2020. Still, another Full House reboot would feel very different without Bob Saget, who died in 2022 at 65. John Stamos has said returning without his longtime friend would be difficult because Saget was such an important part of both the show and its off-screen family.
That loss makes Bure’s idea both exciting and bittersweet. The Full House cast remained close long after filming ended, often reuniting and sharing memories of Saget. Whether Fullest House ever happens remains uncertain, but Bure’s enthusiasm shows how much D.J. Tanner still means to her and to fans who grew up with the Tanner family.
