Goldie Hawn is proving that a little dancing can make a family vacation even more memorable. The 80-year-old actress appeared in a playful video from daughter Kate Hudson’s recent European getaway, happily dancing around in a swimsuit while her daughter cheered her on from behind the camera.
According to PageSix, Hudson included the lighthearted moment among social media glimpses from the family’s travels through Europe. In the clip, Hawn holds a nearly empty wine bottle as she dances beside a table before making her way out of view. The carefree scene gave fans a glimpse of the same bubbly personality audiences have loved since her early television days.

Hawn’s dancing should not come as much of a surprise to longtime fans. Movement has been part of her life since well before Hollywood. She began taking ballet lessons as a child, later taught dance, and made her professional dancing debut before acting took over her career. Even years later, she has spoken about staying active through activities such as exercise, hiking, and biking.
Her Playful Personality Has Been Winning Over Fans For Decades
That joyful energy helped make Hawn a television standout when she joined Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In in the late 1960s. Her combination of comedy, charm, and distinctive screen presence quickly opened doors in film. She went on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 1969’s Cactus Flower and later became a familiar face in favorites including Private Benjamin, Overboard, Death Becomes Her, and The First Wives Club.
Family has remained central to Hawn’s life. She shares a close bond with her children, Kate and Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell. Her playful relationship with Kate often appears on social media, making the vacation clip feel like a sweet mother-daughter moment. For viewers who first knew Hawn as the giggling young performer on Laugh-In, seeing her dancing on a European vacation more than half a century later carries an undeniable bit of nostalgia. The setting has changed, and decades have passed, but the sense of fun feels wonderfully familiar.
