According to PEOPLE, the 85-year-old actress received a commemorative USO Challenge Coin during the ceremony. The organization presented the special recognition in honor of her many years supporting American troops through performances and outreach efforts. The Ann-Margret Award places the actress in historic company because only one other person has previously received the honor: legendary entertainer Bob Hope. The USO explained that challenge coins represent trust, shared experiences, and belonging within military culture, making the recognition especially meaningful.

Throughout her career, the actress maintained strong ties with military communities and toured with the USO several times. During the Vietnam War, she traveled twice to Southeast Asia to perform for American troops stationed overseas, creating lasting memories for countless service members far from home.
Hollywood Stars Joined The Celebration

Several notable guests attended the event, including writer Bruce Vilanch and Linda Hope, the daughter of Bob Hope. USO leadership members also participated in the ceremony as the organization celebrated both the actress’s service and her milestone 85th birthday this year.

Following the presentation, the actress spoke about her career and her connection to military audiences over the decades. The Ann-Margret Award ceremony also highlighted the bond she developed with service members through years of traveling and performing for troops stationed abroad. Despite recently suffering a broken elbow after a fall at home, the actress continues to remain active in public life. She is also expected to receive another major honor soon when the Chita Rivera Awards present her with a lifetime achievement award later this month.
