Vanna White Opens Up About Working With Ryan Seacrest

Change can be difficult, especially when it comes to a show as beloved as Wheel of Fortune. After decades of familiarity, viewers naturally began comparing the past and present. But one person closest to the transition sees things very differently.

For Vanna White, the shift in hosting duties hasn’t been about comparison at all. Instead, she views it as an opportunity to appreciate two distinct styles that each bring something valuable to the show.

Two Hosts, Two Unique Styles

According to People, White discussed the current discussion about Vanna White, Ryan Seacrest, and longtime host Pat Sajak in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Rather than choosing between them, she described the situation as “comparing apples to oranges.”

She explained that both hosts bring their own personalities to the role, something viewers can easily notice. While audiences spent decades watching Sajak develop his signature style, they are now getting to know Seacrest’s approach in real time. White emphasized that working with both men has been a positive experience. She noted that each of them is not only talented but also easy to collaborate with, making the transition smoother behind the scenes than many might expect.

A Thoughtful Gesture That Connects Them

Beyond hosting duties, White has found a personal way to connect with both of her co-hosts. She revealed that she enjoys crocheting blankets and gifting them to friends—and that includes both Sajak and Seacrest. This small but meaningful gesture highlights her warm relationship with each of them. It also reflects the continuity that remains on the show, even as one era ends and another begins.

Sajak, who hosted the show for more than 40 years, left behind a lasting legacy when he retired in 2024. At the same time, Seacrest stepped into the role with respect for that history, acknowledging that no one can truly replace what came before. In the end, White’s perspective offers a refreshing take. Instead of focusing on differences, she celebrates what each host contributes. For fans, that approach may be the best way to embrace the show’s evolution while still honoring its past.
