William Shatner Undergoing Surgery Following Horrific Horse Accident

During the ceremony, William Shatner spoke openly about the accident that led to the upcoming surgery. The actor revealed that he fell while riding one of his horses, an activity he has enjoyed for many years. Although he tried to brace himself using techniques learned during his days as a stunt performer, the fall still caused significant damage to his shoulder.

As Page Six reports, the injury left Shatner with a shattered shoulder that now requires a specialized procedure. Describing the operation in his own words, the actor explained that doctors plan to perform a complex shoulder repair that could relieve the pain once the surgery is complete. It is anticipated that the surgery will take several hours.

The actor attended the Saturn Awards in Burbank, where he accepted a Hall of Fame honor for the enduring legacy of the Star Trek franchise. The recognition reminded audiences of his lasting influence on science fiction and television history.
