According to Fortress of Solitude, art runs deeply in her family. Her grandmother, Alma Parmelee, was a professional oil painter who mentored her during childhood. This early influence helped shape Ariana Richards into the successful contemporary impressionist artist she is now. She also formally studied fine art and drama at Skidmore College, building the skills that would later define her creative career.

Ariana Richards Now Balances Art With Occasional Screen Work

Although painting became her primary focus, Ariana Richards has not completely stepped away from entertainment. After Jurassic Park, she appeared in several television films, including The Princess Stallion and Broken Silence: A Moment of Truth, showing that her acting career continued beyond the famous dinosaur adventure.

Fortress of Solitude notes that Ariana Richards occasionally returns to the Jurassic Park world as well. She made a cameo in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and later voiced her character Lex Murphy in the Lego Jurassic World video game. Fans have also spotted her at franchise events, including the premiere of Jurassic World Dominion in 2022.
