KISS Honors Ace Frehley In Emotional First Performance Since His Passing

KISS recently returned to the stage for the first time since the death of their legendary guitarist, Ace Frehley. The band performed at the KISS Kruise: Landlocked event in Las Vegas, giving fans a chance to celebrate both their music and the life of their late Spaceman. Frontman Paul Stanley led a moving tribute that highlighted Frehley’s immense contributions to the band and rock history.

The concert marked nearly two years since KISS last played together. Fans raised electric candles and chanted Frehley’s name, creating an unforgettable moment of remembrance. Paul Stanley spoke directly to the audience before the band began, reflecting on Frehley’s importance to the group. “We just wanted to take a moment to think about somebody who was at the foundation of this band, and we’re talking about Ace,” he said. The crowd then observed a moment of silence, followed by chants of “Ace! Ace! Ace!” that echoed throughout the venue.

According to iHeart, Ace Frehley, known as the Spaceman, was a founding member of KISS and helped shape the band’s identity. His passing on October 16 at the age of 74 left a profound void in rock music.
