‘CHiPs’ Reunion Brings ’70s TV Stars Together Again: ‘Look Great’

Fans of classic television were thrilled by a recent CHiPs reunion featuring some of the series’ most beloved stars. Kristy Swanson, known for playing Buffy in the movie version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, shared a photo with Erik Estrada, Robert Pine, and Larry Wilcox at The Chill Out Expo in New Jersey. The joyful gathering instantly captured the attention of longtime fans.

Larry Wilcox reprised his connection to Officer Jon Baker, while Erik Estrada was remembered as Frank “Ponch” Poncherello. Robert Pine, who played Sergeant Joseph Getraer, rounded out the trio. The CHiPs reunion rekindled memories of their classic adventures. It also reminded fans of the camaraderie that made the show a 70s television staple.

Although behind-the-scenes tensions existed—Wilcox revealed Estrada had gotten him fired after the fifth season—the reunion showed their friendship has endured. Fans loved seeing Ponch and Jon together again, noting how great the actors looked. The event highlighted that the spirit of CHiPs remains alive decades later.
