John Stamos is standing firmly by his longtime friend amid Lori Loughlin’s divorce from Mossimo Giannulli. The actor recently expressed heartbreak over his Full House co-star’s situation, calling Giannulli a “narcissist” who masterminded the 2019 college admissions scandal.
“Forty years I’ve known her,” Stamos said during an episode of the Good Guys podcast. “You can see through people after a few years. This woman’s a saint. I’m just heartbroken for her right now.” He added that he had supported Loughlin through both the scandal and the breakup, emphasizing that she went to prison “for this asshole for three months.”

As Lori Loughlin’s divorce continues to draw public attention, Stamos didn’t hold back his opinion of Giannulli. “He’s a terrible narcissist, and I don’t think you ever get out of that,” he said, adding that he would never speak to him again. Stamos also shared that he had prayed Giannulli would seek help “for whatever hole he’s trying to fill.”
Reps for Giannulli have not responded to requests for comment. Meanwhile, Stamos praised Loughlin for her strength, noting that she “put up with a lot over the years.” His words painted a picture of loyalty and empathy for his friend as she navigates a painful chapter in her life.

News of the Full House alum’s divorce surfaced earlier this month when her representative confirmed that she and Giannulli had separated after nearly 28 years together. Although there are no legal proceedings underway, insiders told Page Six that Loughlin discovered incriminating messages and emails on her husband’s phone.
Friends say the actress had hoped for change after Giannulli’s prison release, but things reportedly worsened. “She wants to have nothing to do with him and wants to get her life back,” a source said. Despite the turmoil, their daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, remain close to both parents and hope they can find peace in the aftermath of the couple’s split.
