Elizabeth Taylor’s influence reaches far beyond her film career. Tryst Hospitality and The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) have launched The Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini, a rich cocktail celebrating her Hollywood glamour and her lifelong advocacy. According to The Manila Times, $1 from each drink sold supports ETAF’s mission to achieve an AIDS-free world.
This new martini draws inspiration from a cocktail Taylor and Rock Hudson created during the filming of Giant in 1955. Made with Tito’s Vodka, Kahlua, and chocolate syrup, it blends indulgence with purpose. It’s a nod to Taylor’s courage in speaking about the AIDS crisis when few would, linking her legacy to a present-day cause.
Elizabeth Taylor’s Legacy in a Glass

The Elizabeth Taylor Chocolate Martini is more than a drink—it tells a story. Each sip recalls Taylor’s friendships, her elegance, and her generosity toward causes close to her heart. Tryst Hospitality Founder Tristan Schukraft called it “more than just a toast—it’s a tribute,” emphasizing her role as a champion for people living with HIV and AIDS.
The Abbey in West Hollywood, one of Elizabeth Taylor’s favorite spots, has been a key partner in supporting ETAF. Its history of hosting events like the World AIDS Day Tree Lighting now extends to other Tryst venues. This expansion ensures Taylor’s spirit of advocacy continues to inspire.
A Partnership That Expands Her Impact
Founded by Taylor in 1991, ETAF focuses on providing care and advocating for communities often overlooked in the fight against HIV. The new martini offers a creative way to raise funds while keeping her vision alive.
Participating locations—from Puerto Vallarta to Fire Island—have pledged annual donations to ETAF, regardless of cocktail sales. With this commitment, Tryst Hospitality ensures Elizabeth Taylor’s philanthropic work continues to reach new generations.
