Star Trek remains a powerful cultural force, decades after its original debut. At San Diego Comic Con 2025, fans witnessed a meaningful tribute to the franchise’s legacy. A new wave of action figures was revealed, bringing iconic characters like Lieutenant Uhura back into the spotlight. These collectibles, created by Nacelle in collaboration with CBS, pay homage to the series that changed television history.

The unveiling stirred emotion and nostalgia, especially among longtime fans who remember Star Trek’s early days. For many, the figures do more than celebrate a sci-fi show—they recall a moment in time when television boldly addressed social change through space exploration.

According to Gizmodo, Nacelle’s new line includes detailed six-inch figures modeled after the original Star Trek cast. One standout is Nichelle Nichols’ Lieutenant Uhura, a pioneering character who helped redefine representation in media. Her portrayal inspired generations, and the new figure reflects both her strength and elegance on the bridge of the Enterprise.

In addition to Uhura, figures of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock are also part of the initial release. Each one is designed with care, featuring vintage-style packaging and true-to-era aesthetics. Not only do these pieces serve collectors, but they also honor the legacy of characters who helped shape pop culture.
