Connie Francis, one of the most recognizable voices of the late ’50s and early ’60s, is enjoying a wave of unexpected attention in 2025. She is known for hits like “Where the Boys Are”, “Stupid Cupid”, and “Lipstick on Your Collar.” She also made history as the first woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her 1960 single “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool”.
She was once a regular face on jukeboxes and radio stations around the world, and now, decades later, she’s trending on TikTok. One of her old songs started to trend, and even big names like Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have joined in.

Once the song began to trend, Connie Francis took to Facebook to share her appreciation. She admitted that when she first heard the term “viral hit,” she didn’t understand what it meant. After all, she recorded the song more than six decades ago and hadn’t expected it to suddenly appear on the screens of millions of young people.
She shared how surprised and touched she felt knowing that a completely new audience was discovering her voice and connecting with her music. In “Pretty Little Baby”, Francis sings in a gentle, almost lullaby-like tone that has stuck with people.
‘Pretty Little Baby’ did not really do so well when it was first released
When Connie Francis first released “Pretty Little Baby”, she was just 23 years old. The song came out as the B-side to “I’m Gonna Be Warm This Winter”, and while it did appear on her 1962 album Connie Francis Sings Second Hand Love & Other Hits, it didn’t make much noise at the time.
The album itself didn’t reach the Billboard Top 100, and “Pretty Little Baby” quickly faded into the background. Now, more than 60 years later, the song has made a massive comeback. It has been featured in almost 15 million TikTok videos and has been streamed over 20 million times on Spotify. It even climbed into the Global Top 100 on the platform, sitting comfortably at No. 67.
