John Stamos took a moment on May 17 to mark the birthday of his late friend and Full House co-star, Bob Saget. Saget, who died in 2022, would have turned 69.
Rather than write a long message, Stamos shared a short tribute with a few personal photos. He posted the images on social media with the caption, “Now that’s love. HBD, Bobby.” The photos included memories from their time on set and off-screen moments with fellow cast members.

Saget and Stamos first met on the set of Full House in the late 1980s, where they played Danny Tanner and Jesse Katsopolis. The two started as co-workers but became close friends as the show grew in popularity. They stayed in touch long after the series ended, working together again in Fuller House and often showing up at each other’s events.
Some of the pictures dated back to the early days of Full House, showing Saget and Stamos playing drums and joking around. Others were taken during the years of Fuller House, with castmates like Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure, and Jodie Sweetin. One photo showed Stamos in costume as Stavros, Jesse’s con artist cousin, in a playful nod to the series.
Fans still feel the loss
The post quickly drew attention from fans and cast members. Cameron Bure commented, “All the love.” Many others also expressed their thoughts, with messages like, “So loved and so missed,” and “My heart can’t take this.” Some fans called it a “happy heavenly birthday” and said they still think about Saget often.
Though Bob Saget has been gone for over two years, tributes like this continue to stir strong reactions. For many, he was more than a TV dad. He was a big part of their childhood.
