In the behind-the-scenes video, Vanna White took a tour through her hometown with a group of people. It began at Hoskin’s Restaurant, a popular local spot. She walked in and greeted everyone before joining the group on a tour bus. The next stop was Ocean Pavilion. White shared that she used to go there often to dance The Shag, which is the official state dance of South Carolina.
She even did a few steps to show everyone before continuing the ride. The group also passed by her former elementary school, Ocean Drive Elementary. Eventually, they reached her childhood home. White explained that her father once had a hot dog stand out front.
Vanna White’s special bond with her childhood home
Vanna White has always been fond of the place she grew up in. Although she did not show the inside of the house on camera, she said it had been many years since she last entered it. When she walked in, she mentioned that it brought back a lot of memories from when she was growing up.
After the house visit, she stopped by Painter’s Ice Cream, a place she used to go to after school. There, she found out that an ice cream treat called the Vanna Banana Split was named after her. Before leaving, she rode through the town and waved at residents who stood along the road. On set, Ryan Seacrest asked if she knew who lived in the house now. She said no and laughed at the surprise visit.
