It has been years since Bridget Fonda was in the spotlight. The actress, known for roles in films like The Godfather Part III, Point of No Return, and Jackie Brown, quietly stepped away from Hollywood after having her son, Oliver. Since then, she has been living a private life with her husband, Danny Elfman, a composer.
However, the 61-year-old appeared slimmer and more casual at LAX Airport recently. She wore a grey trench coat, black trousers, and simple sneakers, carrying an overnight bag. She pulled her gray hair back in a ponytail and didn’t dress for attention.

Shortly after her first sighting at the airport, Bridget reappeared, this time accompanied by Danny. The couple, who had not been photographed together in years, looked comfortable and casual. Bridget wore a black pea coat and matching trousers and added some color with a red scarf and a cross-body bag. She wore her glasses and tied her hair in a bun.
Danny, known for composing the scores for films like Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Beetlejuice, kept things laid-back too, wearing a baseball tee and cap. Prior to that time, there had been rumors that their 21-year marriage might have ended. But seeing the two looking at ease with each other, these rumors have died down.
Bridget Fonda decided to leave the spotlight due to a serious car accident
She is known to be from a well-known acting family: her father, Peter Fonda; her aunt, Jane Fonda; and her grandfather, Henry Fonda. She was recognized in the ’90s, with big roles and award nominations. But even then, she shared that she did not always feel confident about her work. In one interview, she said, “I think I should give myself a break… but I’ve got this bug that rides me. ‘You should be doing better.'”
She had to quit acting in the early 2000s, especially after a serious car accident in 2003. Her car flipped down a hill in the rain, leaving her with two fractured vertebrae. Since then, she has chosen to focus on her family and raise her son, Oliver, who was born in 2005. Since then, people have only seen her a few times in Los Angeles. When asked in 2023 if she’d ever return to acting, she replied simply, “No, I don’t think so. It’s too nice being a civilian.”
