Shelley Long has a multitalented daughter, Juliana Tyson Kissick. Although she was born to a skilled actress, the 40-year-old has a successful career that juggles business, art, and entertainment. She shares a few similarities with her famous mother; however, she has rather taken a unique path and pursued her passion.
Juliana Tyson was born to Shelley Long and securities broker Bruce Tyson in 1985. She grew up in California, attending Marymount High School in Los Angeles before studying theater, dance, and fine arts at Wesleyan University. She later minored in theater at the University of South Carolina, where she explored topics such as gender studies, religion, and international relations.

Despite having Hollywood roots, Juliana did not immediately follow in her mother’s footsteps. Instead, she focused on education and arts before launching her business and pursuing acting on her terms. The 40-year-old founded Good Juju Ink, an award-winning stationery company, which spreads positivity through its illustrations. She started the brand in 2014 alongside her husband, Ryan Kissick, and close friend, Marina Lieban.
In an interview, Juliana shared how her love of handwritten letters played a role in her business. When she was much younger, Shelley Long used to travel a lot, but to stay connected, she and Juliana exchanged letters. This made Juliana fall in love with the art of letter writing during those times. Meanwhile, Juliana did not outgrow those experiences, which has led to her career today.
Marriage and family life
Juliana married Ryan Kissick in September 2015 at Ashford Castle in Ireland. However, their love story started much earlier. The couple first met as children when they were neighbors in Pacific Palisades. Though they attended different schools, they met again as adults at a birthday party and reconnected.
Now, the couple has a family and works together, with Ryan handling business development for Good Juju Ink. Despite the challenges that come with having a thriving business and being married, Juliana believes it has strengthened their relationship. While the actress enjoys keeping a private life, her social media bio shows that she also loves being a mother.
