Just a few months after coming back, Celine Dion logged into Instagram to comment on a recent development in the music industry. Celine Dion has avoided the spotlight since 2022, when she stepped away from music after she was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder.
In a dramatic comeback, Dion performed on the stage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, reminding everyone of her amazing talent. During the opening event, she performed the Edith Piaf classic Hymne à l’Amour from a breathtaking platform high above the Eiffel Tower.

Dion recently issued a stern warning to her fans regarding AI-generated music with her voice and image. She was concerned that unauthorized recordings claiming to be part of her official discography were being circulated. Such artificially created songs, shared on digital streaming websites and social media, are so close in sound to hers that they easily mislead listeners.
She explained that these recordings are not authentic and are not related to her actual work. Her statement made it clear that her official songs are from authentic sources alone and warned the fans to exercise caution while encountering so-called new albums.
Other artists have also grumbled about these AI-generated songs
Dion is not alone in her worries. While she did not specify specific AI-generated songs, the use of artificial intelligence in music has raised a growing concern in the music world. Many artists are worried that AI is being used to impersonate their voices without permission, infringing on their artistic control and even the royalties they earn.
In early 2024, over 200 music artists, such as Billie Eilish, J Balvin, Katy Perry, and Jon Bon Jovi, came together to discuss the danger of AI to their music. They signed an open letter started by the Artist Rights Alliance, calling on tech companies and online music platforms to cease using artificial intelligence to take advantage of human musicians. The letter demanded that laws should be put in place to shield original creativity from being watered down by AI.
