William Shatner and his ex-wife, Elizabeth Martin, are back together. This is particularly comforting for the Star Trek star, who revealed that they would be getting married again sometime in March. The couple met through handwritten letters after both spouses passed away and became close due to their love for horses. They later tied the knot in 2001.
Even though William Shatner has been married to four women at different times, he enjoyed his fourth marriage more, but unfortunately, they separated in 2020 over irreconcilable differences. While both were divorced, they remained in touch, and in March last year, William announced that they were now partners, although without a formal ceremony yet.

William Shatner realized he could not live without his ex-wife, Elizabeth Martin only after they finalized their divorce, so he decided to be with her forever. This was also mutual for Elizabeth and both reunited without informing the public. Despite their separation, coming back together was not difficult for them as they are living together again, loving and respecting each other.
Even though announcing their wedding plans to the public remains their choice, the couple plans to have a proper party to get married the second time. In an interview, William Shatner could not keep the excitement of reuniting with his ex-wife to himself. He revealed that both are “partners” who support each other and since they remarried, their relationship has even deepened.
They might have separated for a few years, but it was not because they did not love each other anymore, there were “practical issues” that he is certainly careful of happening again. They occasionally meet with his older children and grandchildren to eat a meal together and have family time.
His previous marriages
William Shatner first married Gloria Rand in 1956, and they had three children: Leslie, Lisabeth, and Melanie. However, they divorced in 1969 due to his tight work schedule. Then, he met Marcy Lafferty and tied the knot with her in 1973 after working together on a project. He would later reveal that both enjoyed raising horses together.
William’s third and shortest marriage was to Nerine Kidd, whom he met in 1994 while working on another project. But Kidd passed away from alcohol addiction in 1999.
