Ozzy parkinsons update

Ever since Ozzy Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003, he has been struggling with the debilitating effects of the disease. Over the years, his condition has worsened, making everyday activities more challenging. The 76-year-old rock legend has faced multiple health setbacks, including a severe fall that led to spinal issues. His balance has deteriorated, making it difficult for him to move around without assistance.

In a previous interview, Ozzy Osbourne shared that his feet feel like he has bricks tied to them when he’s walking, but now he can hardly stand unaided. However, he has revealed that his voice remains strong, and he is determined to perform at the Black Sabbath concert.

Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s has affected several aspects of his life. The musician suffers from a rare genetic form of the disease, Parkin 2, which has progressively worsened his mobility. A fall in 2019 caused major spinal injuries and forced him to undergo several surgeries, which eventually left him with severe balance issues. In a candid conversation with Billy Morrison on Ozzy’s Boneyard, Ozzy provided an update on his health.

“I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third [surgeries], but with the last one, they put a rod in my spine. They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out too. It’s pretty rough, man, and my balance is all up,” he admitted. Despite his struggles, Ozzy remains grateful. He told Billy that even though he can’t walk and do other things, he is grateful because he is still alive.  Billy responded saying, “After all the s— you’ve put yourself through, not only are you still alive, you’re still making music, you’re still having a laugh.”  Ozzy hasn’t given up, though; he continues to undergo treatments to regain some mobility.
