Jack Nicholson has not appeared in any movie since his last role in James L. Brooks’ How Do You Know in 2010. For decades, the award-winning actor has stayed away from the spotlight, enjoying the luxury of a private life. And this has made fans and colleagues wonder if Jack Nicholson would ever make a comeback to the screen.
While away, the 87-year-old actor has found new hobbies that keep him busy and entertained. On several occasions, he was spotted in public doing one of his favorite things or seen with one of his children. However, this may change anytime soon.
Jack Nicholson is preparing a major comeback
In November 2023, director James L. Brooks shared that How Do You Know might not have been Nicholson’s final movie in Hollywood. “I keep on thinking he’s going to get itchy and scratch it,” Brooks remarked. This hint of Jack Nicholson appearing in a new movie has made fans more excited and on their toes.
Yet, another report about Jack Nicholson proves he may never even make a comeback. On a recent episode of the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, Nicholson’s longtime friend Lou Adler revealed some of the actor’s plans for his career. Adler recalled a conversation in which Nicholson said he was uninterested in acting in a movie and he had simply read a book on that day.
Jack Nicholson’s new hobbies
Meanwhile, Jack Nicholson has been seen in various Los Angeles Lakers games, cheering on his favorite team from the sidelines. He seems to enjoy watching playoff games with his son Ray more than he wants to make a comeback to the screen.
In April 2023, he was seen relaxing on his California balcony, suggesting he enjoyed living his life away from the spotlight, where his children are everything to him. During this holiday season, his daughter, Lorraine Nicholson, shared a beautiful picture of both. However, despite these divided reports from fans and loved ones, Jack Nicholson might surprise everyone with an unexpected comeback.
