Movie lovers have quite a number of productions to look out for in 2025, and thankfully, they do not need to visit the cinema to see them. They cut across multiple genres, from comedy, drama, and animation to live-action, featuring fan-favorite Hollywood stars like Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler.
Some of these 2025 movies have been released already, while others are still in preparation for premiere in the coming months. It is also a comeback for films like Bridget Jones, Happy Gilmore, the Knives Out franchise, and others.

‘Happy Gilmore 2’
The comedy sequel to this 1996 film features Adam Sandler reprising his role as a golfer with the Boston Bruins, while Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald return as love interests. Fans can stream this on Netflix.
‘Thursday Murder Club’
This Netflix release is based on Richard Osnan’s book series of the same name and stars the likes of Helen Mirren, Ben Kingsley, Pierce Brosnan, and Celia Imrie playing retired friends whose hobby becomes a real task when they find a body at their door.
‘Frankenstein’
This Guillermo del Toro-directed production starring Jacob Elordi, Oscar Isaac, Christopher Waltz, and Mia Goth brings Mary Shelley’s monster-themed novel of the same title to life. While there is no official premiere date yet, fans can get ready to stream on Netflix once it’s out.
‘Fountain of Youth’
Natalie Portman and John Krasinski play estranged siblings in this Apple TV+ film. Years later, they reunite on an adventure to find the mythical fountain of youth and immortality.
