John Lennon‘s sons, Julian and Sean, are keeping their father’s legacy alive, and despite being half-brothers, they maintain a strong bond. John Lennon welcomed Julian in his marriage to his first wife, Cynthia Powell, in 1963, and by 1968, the couple divorced due to the Beatles singer’s infidelity with Yoko Ono, who later gave birth to Sean in 1975.
Despite the 12-year age gap between them, Julian and Sean maintain a great familial bond, and they’ve even teased about a music collaboration; however, the plans have not materialized yet. Recently, the brothers were spotted together having a fun time in their family home in Dakota—a place they hold dear to their hearts.

Julian took to his Instagram to share the heartwarming moment as he posted a picture carousel of their bonding time while noting in the caption that spending time together is something they “rarely get to do.” One of the images featured the 61-year-old giving his younger brother a peck on the cheek while a second one focused on him sitting in a kitchen while treating himself to a bowl of noodles.
Life between the brothers had not always been rosy as there had previously been tension and past blood between Julian and Sean’s mom, Yoko Ono, as he fought for a share of his father’s estate. However, the duo have maintained a close relationship over the years, with Julian even surprising his brother during one of his tours in Eastern Europe.

Just like their late dad, the brothers are both highly talented musicians, with Julian having seven studio albums to his name, while Sean has made a total of Four solo albums and eight joint albums, five with his mother and three with the rock band Claypool Lennon Delirium.
Speaking about their mutual love for music, Sean revealed during his brother’s first exhibition of photographs in 2010 that his passion for music was influenced by Julian, who was also the one who taught him how to play the guitar.
