765874—Unification is available on YouTube and features William Shatner as Captain Kirk. The short film is only eight minutes long and honors the 30th anniversary of Generations by showing the highlights of the 1994 film. It also doubles as a tribute to Shatner, who can be seen wearing his Starfleet uniform.
The short film leaves the question of what ensues after Captain Kirk dies, as his younger self played by Sam Witwer wanders into an unfamiliar realm where he meets an old friend. Captain Kirk’s demise was a result of his attempt against Malcolm McDowell’s move to discharge a time ribbon on innocents.
