John Stamos expressed his support for Dave Coulier in a humorous Instagram post as he begins chemotherapy sessions. Dave was recently diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkins lymphoma after experiencing swelling in his neck, his underarm, and larger lumps in his groin.
The 65-year-old has received support from fans, loved ones, and his Full House co-stars, including Candace Cameron Bure and Stamos, who donned a bald cap days ago to show solidarity. While some found that funny, other social media users were displeased at Stamos’ move, calling it a shallow gesture.

The controversial tribute featured Stamos and Dave side by side with matching haircuts, except that the latter’s was real. “Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro,” Stamos wrote.
They also posed with Dave’s wife Melissa, who joined Stamos to give her husband a cheeky kiss on the head. “I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you,” Stamos promised Dave, adding that Melissa is his true lifeline.

There were mixed reactions to Stamos’ post, as some thought he was being performative with the bald cap. “This isn’t support. You can take your cap off,” a displeased follower scoffed, while another agreed that doing nothing would have been better.

Thankfully, most people came to Stamos’ defense, including his wife, Caitlin McHugh. “I really hope the people who chose to say cruel things about my husband look inward. Instead of tearing down others, take that time to think about how you can bring joy to the people you love,” she wrote. Dave had the post up on his page, too, showing he has no problem with Stamos’ bald cap. “If Dave isn’t offended by this, you shouldn’t be either,” someone quipped.
