Linda Gray proved that she still has the looks at a recent red-carpet appearance in Dallas, Texas. She showed up to last week’s 2024 Farrah Fawcett Foundation Tex-Mex Fiesta in a silk shirt and leather slacks, which she matched with brown cowboy boots.
Though 84, Linda’s looks reminded the audience of her gorgeous look while playing Sue Ellen Ewing in the hit series Dallas. She wore her hair down to her shoulders with full forehead bangs and kept the makeup simple with glossy peach lips.
Linda Gray from ‘Dallas’ now is still stunning as ever
She had her first shot at fame playing Sue from 1978 to 1991, after spending years as a model and TV commercial regular. She earned multiple international awards for her role and was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy. Linda was also named 1982’s Woman of the Year by the Hollywood Radio & Television Society.
She considers her fan-favorite character the most interesting female on the show due to her unpredictability. She once recalled having to improvise during filming, as she sometimes did not know what to expect. Linda reprised her beloved role in spinoffs and the decade-old reboot.
Life after ‘Dallas’
Linda’s acting career gained momentum after Dallas, as she immediately landed a role in Sylvester Stallone’s Lovejoy, which also starred co-star Ian McShane. She starred in more TV movies like Bonanza: The Return, Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter, and Accidental Meeting, after which she briefly explored theater via Broadway.
Many productions later, Linda is still active in the industry at 84, having made a comeback in 2023’s Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas. On a personal note, she lost her son, Jeff Thrasher, to Leukemia in 2020 and shared the tragic news on social media. Her daughter Kehly Sloane, who also starred in Dallas, is thriving as an actress.
