Martha Stewart has spent over five decades in the hospitality business, meaning she has evolved through time and trend to remain relevant. The 83-year-old recently made her Instagram followers gush with nostalgia as she showed off her 1978 kitchen.
The throwback shot featured a younger Martha in a green top and beige skirt as she tried to remove some pastries from the stone oven. The kitchen shone like a vintage beauty, and Martha’s fans commended her consistency through the years.

Martha took a trip down memory lane in the caption, noting that she was learning to bake at the time with her farmhouse beehive oven from the 1800s. With much practice, and several trials and errors later, Martha built the skill she is known for today.
She recalled being confident enough to bake “delicious breads, pizzas, roasts, and even pies” to share with her family and friends. Martha ended her inspiring note by asking fans what they were up to in the kitchen for the weekend.

Martha’s photo evoked nostalgic reactions from her fans, some of them supporting her content from way back. “I wish there were a digital archive to revisit 80s and 90s era Martha magazines. As a millennial, I could really use it!” Someone gushed.
Another called her an inspiration to many generations of women, to which a few others agreed. “Beautiful… The first impressions I had of Martha in magazine articles were like this. She brought what so many of us were looking for. There was nobody quite like her,” a third follower wrote.
