Joan Collins took to Instagram to wish her late sister, Jackie Collins, a posthumous happy birthday on Instagram with a heartfelt note. She accompanied the tribute with a photo of them as kids, and another in their prime where they looked like twins.
Joan noted that they have been best friends since childhood and praised her sister’s work as an author. “Happy birthday to my darling late sister…queen of ‘80s fiction, and ‘60s and ‘70s and ‘90s and noughties !!” she penned.

Joan’s post got over 18,000 likes and hundreds of comments wishing the late Jackie a happy birthday and gushing about the resemblance between both sisters. “Stunning looking ladies happy heavenly birthday to your beautiful sisters Jackie,” someone wrote.
One of Joan’s followers recalled that her father enjoyed Jackie’s books and read them all. “Jackie and Joan, sisters whose bond survived not only the vicissitudes of life, but also the challenges and glamor of a Hollywood career,” another penned, commending their unbreakable sisterhood.
Joan found out about her sister’s illness late
Jackie battled breast cancer in secret for seven years, and Joan only got to know three weeks before her death in 2015. The legendary actress documented their last conversation about Jackie’s illness and their last meetup, where they happily talked about Christmas and upcoming family vacations.
Joan admitted that she wept for up to three months after losing Jackie and had a hard time moving on. Now, she simply copes by assuming that Jackie lives far away in Los Angeles. Joan and Jackie have a brother, Bill Collins, and their stepsister Natasha Collins Foster.
