About three weeks after turning 60, Sandra Bullock celebrated Hoda Kotb for hitting the same milestone via a video message displayed on Today with Hoda and Jenna’s Monday episode. Sandra assured Hoda that entering her sixties was a beautiful, new freeing experience and she should enjoy the most of it and not live up to the general aging stereotype.

She also praised Hoda for being a kind and present friend, and even more as a mother to two growing kids. Sandra gushed about her friend’s protective nature, and how seamlessly she took on many roles and responsibilities.

Sandra’s fans were shocked by her age

Although she has been accused of going under the knife for a few facelifts—especially after getting spotted outside a popular cosmetic surgeon’s office in Connecticut—Sandra credits her good looks to a healthy gluten-free diet, regular physical activity consisting of dance cardio, Pilates and yoga, and a simple eight-minute skincare routine. Sandra tends to ignore comments from critics who feel women in her age range shouldn’t look good because of aging.

Sandra inspired Hoda to have kids

Hoda and Sandra have been longtime friends and it’s great to see the duo supporting each other over the years and aging gracefully together. Hoda watched Sandra’s recent heartwarming tribute and recalled adopting her kids, Haley and Hope, after months of wanting their own.

Hoda called pursuing motherhood the best decision she had ever made and thanked Sandra for lending her listening ears and giving her positive advice that informed her decision and helped her achieve her goal. Though the long-time friends have faced their share of life troubles, with Sandra still mourning the death of her husband and withdrawing from the public, they remain committed and supportive towards each other.
