Howard Stern once hosted the ladies of the Friends cast, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow, on his SiriusXM show, and there, Cox revealed her co-star crush. Aniston also discussed her marriage with Brad Pitt, which lasted only five years to birth a cordial friendship.

Although Cox refused to confirm or deny any romantic escapades between her and the actor in question, she claimed they became good friends off the set and he cracked her up a lot. Howard teased back saying he would have set things in motion if he were in his position.

Jim Carrey played the lead role as Ace Ventura in the 1994 comedy movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Featuring alongside Jim was Cox, who starred as Melissa Robinson, and the two hit it off fast as friends thanks to Jim’s humorous nature. She recalled him being plain at first but suddenly getting into character once filming began.

Cox confirmed that their constant rapport turned into chemistry, however she avoided Howard’s question about what happened next. While promoting the movie in the ‘90s, Cox spoke highly of her colleague, saying he did have a serious and intense side to him, but was funny all the time.

‘Ace Ventura’ was a turning point for Cox and Jim’s career

Ace Ventura undoubtedly put Jim’s talent on the map in Hollywood, so much so that fans still hope for a reboot decades later. The actor is not keen on a comeback, unless—in his words—a genius filmmaker like Chris Nolan offers to work with him. The cult classic amassed over $95 million in profit at the box office, and received multiple recognitions such as the American Comedy Award in 1995.

Jim would later work with Cox’s best friend, Aniston, on 2003’s Bruce Almighty, and rumors began to fly about a romantic attraction between them given their impressive chemistry as a TV couple. Aniston was married to Brad at the time, and Jim recalled seeing him a few times on set.
