Pat Sajak’s retirement from Wheel of Fortune after 40 years of hosting was followed by the introduction of Ryan Seacrest to the game show. This was met with disappointment from several fans, who thought Sajak’s daughter Maggie would have been a much better fit.
Despite push backs against Ryan’s recent appointment as Sajak’s replacement, the 49-year-old is taking over more responsibilities from the retired show host. While Sajak is completely off Wheel of Fortune, he is set to host Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune for the last time next season.
Ryan Seacrest will be taking over ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ as well, booting Pat out of his role there
With Sajak stepping down from hosting Celebrity Wheel of Fortune after the coming season’s finale, Ryan will become the succeeding anchor for season six and beyond. Meanwhile, Sajak is still of great value to the program’s development as he consults from behind the scenes.

Some viewers assumed Sajak’s appearance on the game show’s celebrity version meant he was coming back; however, the network quickly clarified that. His longtime co-host, Vanna White, still remains the letter-turner and is allegedly finding it difficult to work with Ryan.
More work for Ryan
Ryan will be filling yet another role set to be left behind by Sajak in the coming months: the consulting producer position. Regardless of the seemingly endless responsibilities that await Ryan, his expertise in reality TV might just come in handy at this crucial time.
Sajak is allegedly refusing to help Ryan ease into his new position and is simply steering clear to observe his performance. The 77-year-old is now focusing on stage plays with his longtime friend and collaborator Joe Moore whilst waiting to become a grandfather.
