Danica McKellar gained recognition as Winnie Cooper on the popular TV series The Wonder Years during the late ’80s and early ’90s. However, McKellar’s accomplishments extend beyond entertainment, as she pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UCLA, and has since become an advocate for mathematics education.
Recently, McKellar took a trip down memory lane during an interview where she reminisced about her teenage years. The actress made an intriguing revelation about her love life in the ’80s when she found herself entangled in an unexpected love triangle with two other budding teen stars.

“So in 1989, I believe it was, there was this party that a teen magazine was putting on, and Jeremy Miller, who was also a young actor, he was at this party,” she reminisced. “I was there, and Candace was there. And [Miller] asked me to be his girlfriend. And I was like, ‘Yes!’ And I didn’t know at the time, but I guess Candace thought that she and Jeremy were dating.”
Their friendship still remains strong despite their past entanglement
Unknown to McKellar, Miller had indeed made romantic advances towards both her and Bure, but the 48-year-old revealed that it was not until 2014 that she got to know the full story about Bure and Miller. “It’s so silly, I mean, we were so young. We were like 13 years old. So this was not any kind of serious relationship we’re talking about,” she confessed. “I found out years later, on Dancing With the Stars, I found out that [Bure] was like, ‘Oh, we were dating. I was like, ‘What?’ So, Jeremy, tsk-tsk, not good.”
The duo have since become close friends and maintained an enduring relationship over the years, as they have both shared the spotlight on different occasions. “Luckily, my friendship with Candace has survived just fine,” she noted.
