Some members of Neil Young & Crazy Horse came down with an unexpected illness, causing the band to suspend their ongoing Love Earth tour until they feel better. A statement issued by Neil Young via his website explained that a few bandmates caught an unrevealed sickness after their Detroit performance in May.
Although the rescheduled dates have yet to be announced, they assured fans of a comeback as soon as everyone is healthy again. Meanwhile, The Offspring will replace them as headliners during the upcoming Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse cancel rest of tour dates
The group did not specify what members are ill, however all of them including Neil Young, Ralph Molina, Billy Talbot and Micah Nelson have been on the road since their tour kicked off in April. It is their first in ten years, ahead of their new album titled F##kin’ Up, featuring past and recent songs.

Disappointed fans in Winnipeg, Canada, have been assured of their refunds, while their gigs slated for Calgary and Edmonton have been canceled. The U.S. dates for Oregon, Utah, and Washington have also been withdrawn. Young apologized to eager concertgoers, noting that health comes first, hence their drastic decision.
Reactions to Young’s announcement
Fans reacted to the news on social media, expressing their disappointment and wishing the sick bandmates a quick recovery. “The only band I was interested in seeing,” an X user wrote alongside a teary-eyed emoji. “Hope they feel better soon!” another wrote. Meanwhile, some were curious about what the illness in question was and made known their suspicions.
Rumors about the COVID-19 making a comeback have been associated with Crazy Horse’s tour cancellation, however there has been no reliable confirmation of such. “So many people I have worked with over the last year have been non stop sick but, it’s never covid. I rarely go into the office, mask when it’s required and have never had covid,” someone argued.
