Vanna White Gives Emotional Farewell Tribute To Co-Host Pat Sajak As He Ends His Tenure On ‘Wheel Of Fortune’


It has been an incredible journey for Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, but it is coming to an end. The 77-year-old, who has been leading the show since its inception, is now set to retire from the syndicated puzzle game show on Friday, June 7th, after 41 seasons and 8,010 episodes.

Throughout his tenure, Sajak has secured a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest-running host on the same show and three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host. As his final episode approaches, his longtime co-host, Vanna White, recently paid a heartfelt tribute, honoring their amazing partnership that has spanned more than four decades.

During Sajak’s penultimate broadcast of Wheel of Fortune recently, White shared a heartfelt pre-recorded message dedicated to the longtime host before him and the show’s audience. In her message, she expressed disbelief that Sajak was retiring, reflecting on their shared journey.

The 67-year-old highlighted the deep bond they developed over the years and her gratitude for his guidance and friendship. She emphasized his role as both a mentor and a friend, recounting how Sajak’s support was instrumental in helping her conquer the stage fright she faced when she first joined the show as co-host, which was her inaugural television role.

White, who will be continuing in her role alongside new host Ryan Seacrest, disclosed that her connection with Sajak transcended mere professionalism, extending into their personal lives. They shared a bond that encompassed spending time with each other’s families, sharing meals, and exploring the world together.


Despite the transition that sees them no longer sharing the stage, the 67-year-old expressed enduring admiration for the 77-year-old. She affectionately described Sajak as a brother and a cherished lifelong friend, affirming her enduring love for him with the heartfelt declaration,” I love you Pat.”
