Celine Dion Hopes To Perform For The Last Time In TV Special

Celine Dion‘s career has been greatly impacted by her health condition. She has held off on shows and stage performances due to her inability to use her vocal cords and muscles. Despite this, Celine is not giving up and looks forward to performing again, even if for one last time.

She has also become a source of inspiration by telling her story via an upcoming Prime Video documentary titled I Am Celine Dion. The documentary will detail her journey to stardom and the imminent decline due to Stiff Person’s Syndrome. She is unsure of a future comeback but is working on her voice and health in hopes of one.

Celine Dion is preparing to have her final performance

A source revealed that Celine is “not giving up her desire to sing again” and “has been working with voice coaches, band members, and specialists for over six months now” toward an upcoming performance. She wants to release a concert film of her playing her top songs as her final goodbye.

She is also undergoing treatments involving “athletic, physical, and vocal therapy” five days a week and engaging “with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team.” When Celine is not training, she simply stays at home, replays her music and sings to herself in the mirror. She also spends more time with her sons,  René-Charles, and twins, Nelson and Eddy, during this challenging time.

Celine postponed the rest of her Courage World Tour in December 2022 after getting diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome. She felt heartbroken about disappointing her fans due to the rare neurological disorder, however, she promised to be back not knowing the gravity of the condition.

In subsequent updates, she was more certain she might never tour again and canceled all postponed shows instead. The music star apologized to anticipating concertgoers once again and ensured they were all refunded from their point of purchase. Being a goal-getter, Celine remains encouraged and continues to raise awareness about the disease, which reportedly affects twice as many women as men and has no known cure.
