Tom Cruise was recently spotted enjoying some time away from work at Mallorca’s Formentor beach while filming the latest installment of the Mission Impossible franchise. Joining him was filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu, who also went shirtless as they talked and waded in the water.
Photos of a bare-chested Tom soon made it to the internet, and social media users had mixed reactions. While some admired the sixty-one-year-old actor for his impressive looks, others pointed out that he was aging no differently from the average person.

While Page Six describes Tom as “chiseled,” some critics appeared to have a contrasting opinion about the film star’s body. “We apparently have different opinions on what a chiseled physique is,” someone retorted. “Everyone knows this is not chiseled,” another warned the outlet. “Stop gaslighting the viewers.”

A few ladies also called out the double standard, saying female celebrities never get that much slack about their looks. “Chiseled?? Keep this same energy when y’all talk about women’s bodies,” an unimpressed user responded. Another user implored media outlets to celebrate aging rather than set unrealistic standards for people.

At his age, the father of three is still performing his own daring stunts and keeping up with high-energy activities such as “sea-kayaking, caving, fencing, treadmill, weight training, rock climbing, hiking,” and so on. The actor does not see himself retiring anytime soon and hopes to keep working for as long as Indiana Jones’ Harrison Ford did. “Ford is a legend,” he said of the 81-year-old. I hope to be still going at that age.”

Despite managing to maintain his good looks, Tom has been called out for undergoing plastic surgery despite saying he would never in 2012. A source revealed that his close friends are concerned, “begging him to stop trying to look younger and telling him to accept it and age gracefully.” The A-list actor had denied ever going under the knife, but experts have analyzed his looks in recent times to deduce a previous neck lift or platysmaplasty, some Botox, and a mid-face lift.
