Theirs has been quite the romance since they got married in 1988, and according to Kyra Sedgwick, things got steamy between her and Kevin Bacon more times than people realized. The film and television star recently revealed that she and Bacon “absolutely” got down and dirty whenever they were working on the same set together over the years.
The two first crossed paths as fan and idol in the ’70s while Bacon was between Broadway performances. After that New York deli encounter, they reunited to film 1987’s Lemon Sky. A year later, wedding bells were ringing. Jump ahead 36 years and they’re still together, and it turns out they got intimate while on the job.

To this, Sedgwick confirmed with a resounding, “Yes! Absolutely, oh yeah.” She then added, “If the trailer’s rockin’, don’t come a-knockin.”
When could this have been, exactly? Both actors keep themselves very busy but work has actually brought them together a few times. Together, they’ve appeared in Murder in the First (1995), The Woodsman (2004) and Cavedweller (2004). On top of that, she’s directed him in both Story of a Girl (2017) and Space Oddity (2022); similarly, he directed her in Loverboy (2005).

Their marriage now spans over three-and-a-half decades and Sedgwick has some insights into what’s made everything work so well for so long.
“A sense of humor is crucial,” she noted. “He is very freaking funny.”
When pressed with the same query, however, Bacon answered, “No secret. Never have the secret,” adding, “The secret is don’t ask a celebrity on how to stay married.”
