Trisha Yearwood recently performed in Las Vegas, and she made sure to give her social media followers some behind-the-scenes shots of her in fitting jeans, and a white blazer over an embellished matching top. The country singer kept her full blonde hair in a wavy side part and kept the makeup and jewelry minimal.
She also shared photos of her singing on stage with a jean jacket and another candid shot where she wore a black top over another pair of jeans. “Vegas Vibes 4/18-4/21/24,” her caption reads. Although several fans echoed how pretty she looked, some were concerned about the fifty-nine-year-old’s weight loss and how she achieved it.

Due to the popularity of the drug Ozempic among celebrities like Sharon Osbourne, her daughter Kelly, Amy Schumer, and many more, Trisha’s followers were suspicious of her weight-loss methods. “Trisha is always and forever a beautiful woman. Does Ozempic not cause loose skin from rapid weight loss?!” a curious fan asked, while another noted that “everyone’s dying to be skinny.”

A concerned user had a few tips for Trisha, asking her to prioritize her health. “Gaining weight, then losing it is not a healthy lifestyle. I did manage to lose weight and keep it off…it’s hard I know, but the yo-yo dieting can be terrible for your heart,” they stated. Some simply complimented the “How Do I Live” singer and kept it moving.
Trisha began losing weight in 2013, with the support of her husband Garth Brooks who committed to supporting her all the way. She was inspired to shed the extra fat after a 2012 trip to Haiti with Habitat for Humanity. “I really felt my weight on that trip. I’d put a few extra pounds on top of the 20 extra that I always carried. I didn’t feel great,” she said, adding that she “had just come back from a place where people don’t know where their next meal is coming from, and I was bitching because I was a size 14— poor, pitiful me.”
She started by changing her diet to healthier options consisting of plenty of fruit, vegetables, and lean protein. She also prioritized exercise and hiking with her rescue dog multiple times a week. “I strength train three times a week and work multiple muscle groups in the same exercises. Then, at least two days a week, I try to do something that benefits my mind, body, and spirit,” the three-time Grammy award-winning singer explained.
