In addition to his prolific film and television career, Michael Douglas has three children and two grandchildren. While it is increasingly common to see his two youngest kids, Dylan and Carys, at events with Douglas and mom Catherine Zeta-Jones, his grandkids are far less often seen.
That pattern was briefly broken recently after Michael attended the wedding of his brother Joel. Also in attendance were his two grandchildren from a former relationship with Diandra Luker: six-year-old Lua and three-year-old Ryder. The big day saw the family pose for a rare group photo featuring multiple generations of Douglas’ extended family.

At his brother’s wedding, Michael was not just an attendee; he officiated the bond in holy matrimony, while the Douglas grandchildren scattered flower petals down the aisle. It wasn’t all work and no play, however, as between the usual motions of the ceremony itself, the family members got to mingle and enjoy a rare bit of relaxation.

On Sunday, the extended family congregated once again to enjoy a nice day out together. 54-year-old Catherine, also in attendance, was sure to take pictures of everyone enjoying some downtime, minus the formalwear.
Those present for this more relaxed day of fun included Douglas, Catherine, daughter Carys, grandchildren Ryder and Lua, and their parents Cameron – Michael’s son – and Cameron’s partner Viviane Thibes. Catherine shared a rare group photo of them all lounging together, smiling from ear to ear.

Cameron is Michael’s only son with Diandra Morrell (née Luker); as such, he is also the grandson of the late actor Kirk Douglas and Bermudian star Diana Dill. Cameron and Viviane have been in an extended relationship since 2016. Lua was born in 2017 while Ryder was born in 2020.
Kicking off an acting career of his own in 1997, Cameron has several film credits to his name, including Jackie Chan’s Mr. Nice Guy, It Runs in the Family (2003), and National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve (2005). It Runs in the Family saw Cameron appear alongside grandpa Kirk, dad Michael, and grandmother Diana. His latest credit is 2022’s Wire Room, though he is also working on Blood Knot, which is currently filming, and Valet, a short film.
