Brooke Shields attended the recent Tribeca Ball with her 17-year-old daughter Grier Hammond Hency, who elegantly stood over 6 feet tall in a monochrome black, white, and gray suit. The teenager posed beside her mother, who was inches shorter than her, despite wearing heels to compliment her black jumpsuit and pink top. Brooke also threw in a gold-colored clutch to add some sparkle to her outfit, which showed off the willowy figure that Grier also shares. Mother and daughter wrapped their arms around each other for photos, with Grier towering above Brooke, who wore a pair of glasses and hoop earrings.
Like her gorgeous mom, Grier loves the spotlight and is actively pursuing a career as a runway model with IMG Models. Brooke, who was featured in Calvin Klein campaigns as a child, admitted to being skeptical about Grier’s career path; however, after comparing her time and the industry’s evolution, she embraced her daughter’s choice. “The rules have changed since I was a model. I fought it for so long. It’s such a different industry now than it was,” the Endless Love actress said during a chat on Live With Kelly And Mark, adding that she presented conditions— such as a college degree for Grier to fulfill as well.
How many biological children does Brooke Shields have?
Brooke is a proud mother of two daughters, Grier and her older sister, Rowan Francis Henchy, whom she shares with her second and current husband, Chris Henchy. The Pretty Baby star welcomed her first daughter in May 2003 after seven rounds of fertility treatments, and Grier came three years later. Sadly, Brooke had postpartum depression after Rowan’s birth, which was also a tough time after 24 hours of labor.

“I had a strong desire to deliver vaginally. After 24 hours of labor and being shot up with antibiotics, Pitocin, and epidural medication, I had only dilated 3 centimeters. I had to have a c-section,” she explained, adding that her now 20-year-old bundle of joy “was amazing, alert and beautiful.” Grier joined the family of three in April 2006, and Brooke fondly recalls birthing her in the same hospital where Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise had Suri Cruise. Brooke tried to keep a low profile to protect her privacy, however on sighting helicopters and cameras, she assumed someone tipped the press until a nurse said, “Honey, it’s not for you, It’s Katie and Tom.”
Grier has been spotted with Brooke several times, including September 2021’s Salvatore Ferragamo spring/summer 2022 show for Milan Fashion Week, where mother and daughter wore leather ensembles. The proud mom has often praised Grier’s love for fashion and her eye for designer pieces. “If I want to know where anything good that I have is, and I can’t find it in my closet, I know exactly where to find it. It’s her!” she once joked, adding that Grier is a “label monger” while Rowan could hardly be bothered.
During last year’s New York City premiere of Brooke’s Hulu documentary, Pretty Baby, Grier paid tribute to her mom by wearing her vintage Dolce & Gabbana suit from the ‘90s sitcom Suddenly Susan. Over time, Brooke’s worry about Grier being famous has turned into confidence, especially since their collaboration for a Victoria’s Secret Mother’s Day campaign. “You know, I have resisted this. But to watch her handle herself in a way, it makes me realize, okay, she’s a pretty strong character,” the former child star admitted. “So I don’t feel like this business will eat her up. It was really fun to be in front of the camera with her.”
How many times did Brooke Shields marry?

Brooke has been married twice and is 23 years into her second marriage to Henchy, whom she often speaks fondly of. “He was so funny and so smart, and I just fell into him but never turned into anybody for him, saw me for who I was, loved who I was with all of my dorky things, and just was unfazed. It was freedom to me,” she once gushed. “His jokes were funnier than the ones I was being written on ‘Suddenly Susan,’ and so he was giving me alts and I was claiming them as my own.”
The couple, who are clearly smitten by each other, marked their wedding anniversary last May, and Brooke penned a sweet tribute to her husband via Instagram to celebrate their love. “There’s nobody else I’d rather drive insane or be driven insane by catch or be caught by love or be loved by,” she wrote. “I’m in it for the long haul. You’re a keeper.”

Before Henchy, Brooke was with her famous ex-husband, Andre Agassi, for almost three years until their divorce in 1999. She recalls their union, which was affected mainly by Agassi’s addiction to crystal meth, as a “mistake.” However, Brooke’s time with Agassi meant she could sit back from the spotlight, as he often directed most of the attention to himself.
“With Andre, it also felt good to feel smaller than another because he was so famous and number one in the world,” she said of the top tennis player. “Everywhere we went, he had tons of bodyguards. I could sit back because it wasn’t my world. He was the first one out of the car when we arrived at events. It was a real kind of respite.” As told in her 2014 memoir, There Was a Little Girl, her first marriage started to fall apart almost so soon as they began to see less of each other. “For the next two years, we saw very little of each other. I was working on my show, ‘Suddenly Susan,’ and he was playing at various tournaments,” Brooke explained in her book.
What is Brooke Shields’ net worth?
At 11, Brooke was already famous after playing a child prostitute in 1978’s Pretty Baby and posing nude for Playboy’s Sugar’n’Spice. Despite the trauma of being in controversial situations as a young girl, Brooke reinvented herself as an entertainer and businesswoman with a current net worth of about $40 million per Celebrity Net Worth. The former Calvin Klein model reportedly made between $500,000 and $800,000 from the fashion brand as a teen and was allegedly given an $80,000 horse as a bonus.
Although she seemed handsomely paid for it, the ad cost Brooke’s reputation, as she received endless backlash for the “racy” commercial. “I was away when they came out, and then I started hearing that the commercials were being banned,” she recalled. “The paparazzi would scream at me and my mother, ‘How could you!’ It just struck me as so ridiculous.”
Over the years, the mother of two has also worked as a voice-over actress, an author, a highly sought-after spokesperson, and a TV producer for productions like Suddenly Susan, where she likely made about $100,000 per episode. Her co-star Kathy Griffin claimed she earned $20,000 per episode as the lowest-paid member, and Judd Nelson earned four times more, hence the speculations. Brooke inspires many fans with her exemplary skills in managing her career, marriage, and raising two beautiful daughters.
