Rumer did not hold back emotions while expressing her love for her father via social media, and her followers also celebrated Bruce. “Oh, Daddio, to be loved by you is such a gift. You are the funniest, most tender, charming, out-of-this-world silly, talented, and magical papa. I am your first baby and man,” she wrote. “Sometimes I wish I could be tiny enough to just cozy up on your chest again and laugh and cuddle you.”

The 35-year-old ended the note with an appreciation for Bruce’s “generosity, your silliness, and heart.” “I love you so deep in my bones I don’t know how my muscles hold them. You are the greatest papa I could ever hope for,” she gushed. A follower affirmed Rumer’s note in the comments, saying, “Your dad is a marvelous father. I remember you both back as early as these gorgeous pictures, watching how proud and doting a dad he is with you. With all of you.”

Rumer’s sister, Scout LaRue, also shared her celebratory tribute to their dad via social media. She wrote a lengthy, touching statement as a caption to several photos from her childhood with Bruce and more recent moments. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE KING. Wild how so little has changed even though so much has changed,” she penned. “My dad is one of my best friends, perhaps now on a deeper level than ever, honestly.”

She reflected on some pictures, reminiscing how much of a doting father the film star was. She recalled her “super fancy debutante ball” as a kid when Bruce “swung me around that fancy ballroom with Jersey boy confidence and a mischievous elegance that I pray every day I inherited.”

“I want to say thank you for loving my papa, thank you for sharing your stories of what he means to you, it’s such a gift to feel your love,” she gushed.
