Marie Osmond has been in the public spotlight since 1973 and has faced all the scrutiny typical of such fame. During a recent appearance on a podcast, Osmond ended up sparking rumors that she had undergone plastic surgery.
Along with her brother Donny, Marie Osmond rose to commercial success in the 1970s thanks to a series of pop singles. When it came time to pursue her own independent work, Osmond chose country because she felt it was the most welcoming to women, especially those who wanted both a career and a family.
Fans are speculating Marie Osmond got plastic surgery after her recent podcast appearance
The Sibling Rivalry podcast is hosted by Kate and Oliver Hudson, the children of Goldie Hawn with her ex-husband Bill Hudson. The two hosted Osmond, where she discussed rising to fame alongside her brother and the effect it had on her relationship with all her siblings.

However, some members of the viral audience were focused on Osmond’s appearance, rather than her insights. “Wow what happened she doesn’t look like Marie,” one viewer claimed. Another chimed in, “Good God women. Stop the surgery already!! Shameful and scary!!” A different comment said, “Great info, but not recognizing her face anymore.” Someone else wondered, “Are you sure that’s Marie ? What did she do to herself.”
Marie Osmond and her appearance
During the viral meeting, Osmond appeared with her dark hair appearing as gentle waves framing her face. Her makeup showed off the smooth plains of her face and soft burgundy lipstick showed off the fullness of her lips.
All the while, Osmond was discussing the aging process, something that was on her mind – by the will of others – for decades. The Donny & Marie show was promoted as showing off two respectable, all-around flawless siblings. The producers told a 110-pound Marie to lose 10 pounds or the entire program would be canceled. She brought her weight down to 93 pounds and had trouble staying awake, but continued on with the show, citing a responsibility to her family and fans.
“I’m performing five nights a week in Vegas now, and I started to see bumpiness, sagginess, and fine lines,” she admitted of the aging process. Now, she focuses on a healthy approach to her wellness goals for the sake of herself and her children.
