Tom Cruise Surprises Restaurant Staff While Filming For ‘Mission: Impossible’

Tom Cruise has been busy filming the upcoming Mission: Impossible film. While on a break from the set, he decided to visit a restaurant in Derbyshire, England. His arrival at Restaurant Lovage in Bakewell village was a surprise, as staff were left starstruck upon sighting him.

Tom took photos with the workers after his meal, which were soon posted to the outlet’s Instagram page accompanied by the caption, “We were honored to have shared our food and hospitality with @tomcruise and his cast and crew last week.”

The establishment’s spokesperson said it was “a truly humbling experience to have had such a kind and genuine group of guests join us” and thanked Tom for the pleasant moment. “We would be thrilled to welcome you all back again!” they added. Tom was all smiles in the shared photo, wearing a black puffer jacket with a matching tee and trousers.

Tom was nearby in Peak District’s mining area for the next installment after Dead Reckoning: Part 1, where his character Ethan Hunt and his team had to face a villainous AI. The exact location was featured in the last part of the franchise, and the crew is back there to film a car chase scene at Middleton Mines close to Matlock.

Dead Reckoning: Part 1 was nominated alongside the winning movie Oppenheimer for Best Visual Effects at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2024. The film also received other recognitions in the past year, such as a Golden Globe nomination for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, Action Movie of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards, and many more.

Mission Impossible 8 (Part 2) is set for release in 2025, and Tom is working hard at delivering amazing stunts yet again. According to reports, he will be performing yet another death-defying aerial stunt. While speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said, “Tom’s walking on the outside of an airplane — in the air, not on a green screen. It’s quite the ride.”
