At 56, Pamela Anderson is not afraid of bearing it all. The former Baywatch mainstay kicked off her career with modeling starting in the late ’80s and she’s continuing that line of work 35 years later with a twist. Recently, Anderson posed in a catsuit that left her appearing nude and bare-faced, part of her call for safe escapism while also embracing natural beauty, thanks to her modeling for CR Fashion Book, a bi-annual fashion publication dedicated to “Style, culture, and inspiration with a provocative spirit.”
In addition to her time in the main cast of Baywatch throughout seasons three through seven, Anderson also became a household name as the February 1990 Playboy Playmate of the Month; she also had a cover feature in the magazine’s October 1989 edition, a trend that continued long enough for her to set a new record for cover appearances by a single person. Recently, Anderson took to using her platform to encourage others to embrace natural beauty and how bodies look without shame.

Anderson posed for CR Fashion book with a theme of keeping things natural, bare, and bare-faced. The actress and the publication shared images to their respective social media pages promoting her appearance in Issue 24, a collaboration she called “an honor” while thanking founder and editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld.

One image shows Anderson in a flesh-colored catsuit with her legs folded in front of her. Her face is free of makeup and her jewelry is comprised of subtle silver adornments around her neck, fingers, and wrists.
In keeping with issue 24’s theme, Audacious, another image shows Anderson in a similar flesh-colored catsuit, although this one is adorned in metallic discs up and down her arms, legs, and torso; they appear to match her clunky gold heels, the only bold design choices as she, once again, opts to go makeup-free, a theme throughout the photoshoot.
The ‘Baywatch’ icon discusses flipping the script and embracing natural beauty
Anderson discussed her decision to strip away adornments and makeup in an interview with CR Fashion Book. “I think, well, I was doing it for me,” she explained. “Can I walk out the door like this? Like, I’m fine the way I am. And I just didn’t want to get into the whole glam thing and play the game. I just want to flip the script; I want to challenge beauty.”
Her agents and children told her she should work with a glam team still, to which she vehemently doubled down, saying, “I’m going to do a fresh face, no makeup, not pretend no-makeup.” While she did it for herself and was glad to feel “free” from going bare-faced, Anderson also admitted, “I was doing it for the girls.”
“To be brave is contagious,” said Anderson. “And I found that it resonated even though it wasn’t my real intention to make a big statement. And I’m glad that it had a positive message. It’s not world peace or anything, but it was a little moment.”
Anderson has gone bare-faced even outside of this CR Fashion Book photoshoot, opting to stay makeup-free for none other than Paris Fashion Week. For that occasion, she explained that “something just kind of came over me, and I was dressing in these beautiful clothes, and I thought, ‘I don’t want to compete with the clothes. I’m not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room. I feel like it’s just freedom. It’s a release.'” She added, “I feel as a woman and a woman of my age, and a woman in the public eye… it’s also your job to be a model of everything. Just all sorts of choices.”
