Paul McCartney’s Lookalike Son Makes Rare Appearance To Support Sister At Event

James McCartney was at Parc André Citroën to celebrate his older sister’s new collection at Paris Fashion Week. Their dad, Paul McCartney, was also present alongside his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr and the late Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson.

James, who shares an uncanny resemblance with Paul, looked dapper in his white shirt, a printed black blazer, and gray trousers as he watched the display of his sister’s creative work. Brother and sister took many photos and selfies after Stella strutted the runway amidst applause to close the event.

James was born to Paul and his first wife, Linda McCartney, in 1977 and spent his early years on the road as they toured. Like his father, James has a thriving music career as a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist; he has worked with Paul on several tracks as a co-writer and done stage performances with the legend.

James prefers to live a private life and is particular about charting his course away from the weight of his famous family name. “I never really thought of it like that,” he revealed during a 2013 episode of BBC Breakfast. “I thought I’m not going to be oppressed by certain things, I am just going to carry on and do my own thing.”

Paul is a father to five children from his two previous marriages, and for him, fatherhood has been about guiding the kids who now do the same for him. “They don’t need so much guidance these days, but if there’s ever a problem, I’m very happy to be the guy they come to. So, that’s largely the thing of being a dad,” he explained. “You’re just there to help, and I suppose have fun with— we do have a lot of fun.”

His children have successful careers in various industries, with Stella dominating the fashion scene with her brands and collaborations. “I was very aware of the kind of eye on us as a family unit. Just being pre-judged and finding my own sense of self within all that, yeah, it was really important,” she once shared. She also runs the Stella McCartney Cares Foundation for breast cancer awareness and sustainability.
