Sylvester Stallone’s Daughters Say Sly Hired Navy SEALs To Teach Them Self Defense

Before heading to the Big Apple, Sly wanted his family to know some big moves to stay safe among the crowds. Sylvester Stallone is the proud father of daughters Sistine, Sophia, and Scarlet, and according to them, he recruited actual Navy SEALs to train them before they moved to New York City.

In an interview with the New York Post, eldest daughters Sophia and Sistine recalled their big move to the Big Apple. According to them, Stallone had misgivings about allowing them to make the big relocation and so the Rocky star wanted to make sure they “could go the distance” with the help of self-defense classes from very qualified instructors.

Sylvester Stallone’s daughters learned self defense from Navy SEALs

Stallone recruited Navy SEALs not just to train his daughters in self defense but to make sure they underwent similar exercises as the Navy’s special operations forces. So, part of their required tasks included chasing and catching a chicken. Sistine revealed that the job was “deceivingly hard.”

“I went in there a little cocky, no pun intended,” she admitted. “I got beat by the chicken.”

They also got beat by the SEALs. Sistine also revealed, “Sophia and I got our asses whooped by these guys,” adding, “They were the real deal.”

Stallone could be “the real deal” too, as according to the sisters, Stallone would go “full Rambo,” in reference to the titular film character he starred as, whenever they brought boyfriends home!

The sisters have been in New York for a year now but Stallone still harbors fatherly concern. Sistine believes “I don’t think he’ll ever be less nervous,” adding, “He’s like a classic, overprotective dad. Three daughters at an age where, you know, we’re kind of all over the place and we’re out and about.” This training was part of an attempt to instill a sense of security not just for them but for him.

Their military training can be seen in season two of The Family Stallone, which premieres on Paramount+ on February 21.

But this is far from the first time the sisters have been exposed to military-level discipline. In fact, said 25-year-old Sistine, she’s “not surprised my dad put us through something like this because our entire life we grew up with him doing these sort of military-esque, self-defense trainings.”

Much of their life with Sly as their dad was regimented, and Stallone reportedly taught his daughters to carry that mindset into adulthood.

“It was a rigorous routine,” explained Sophia. “Every day at 6 a.m., he would make us eat eggs with ketchup. For some reason, that combination … to bulk up. But then it was a lot of sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, clean and jerks.
