Burger King Employee Who’s Worked There For 50 Years Has Never Missed A Day Of Work

Wanda Byrd, a devoted Burger King employee who has steadfastly served the fast-food chain for nearly five decades, recently shared her story. Despite the developmental changes she has witnessed while working with Burger King, she remains dedicated and happy with her role.

During a discussion with the local station, KSWO, Byrd, who is employed at the southwest Oklahoma outfit of BurgerKing in Medicine Park, shared that this was her first job, and she is happy with it, hence why she has no intention of retiring soon.

Byrd emphasized her profound job satisfaction, attributing it mainly to the camaraderie and affection she receives from her coworkers.

“I just love people, and they all treat me really nice,” she told the media outlet. “That’s why I get up every morning and come to work, knowing that they are here and they know my name and everything.”

Wanda says she has never missed a day of work

The Burger King employee revealed that she has maintained a perfect attendance record since the commencement of her employment, consistently showing up for work without any absences, even in instances of illness. “If you love your job, you are going to be there no matter what, and you know that’s the way I am,” Byrd confessed. “If you love your job, you are going to be there no matter what and you know that’s the way I am,” Byrd told KSWO.

“I do come to work sometimes sick, or, you know, as far as hurting because you know at my age you are going to hurt, so I do come to work anyway. Byrd highlighted that the fast-food franchise acknowledged and appreciated her unwavering dedication and commitment to her role by presenting her with a splendid gift in the year 2005. “We went to a big meeting in Las Vegas and they called my name out,” she shared. “They were like you won a Jeep. It was for being the fastest speed of service out of all the restaurants.”
