Elijah Blue Allman’s Estranged Wife Slams Cher For Forcing Son Into Conservatorship

Cher has initiated legal proceedings to establish a conservatorship for her son, Elijah Blue Allman, whom she welcomed during her marriage to Greg Allman. This decision stems from her concerns about Elijah’s reported struggles with substance abuse. Court documents from the Los Angeles Superior Court showed that the 77-year-old is seeking to be the sole conservator of her son’s estate on the grounds that he is “substantially unable to manage his financial resources.”

However, Marieangela King, Elijah’s former spouse, has expressed her disapproval of Cher’s actions during a recent interview. She revealed that the Goddess of Pop had totally left her out in the care of her ex-husband.

In a discussion with Page Six, King expressed her lack of involvement in the decision-making regarding Elijah’s health. She clarified that her concern isn’t opposed to seeking assistance for the 47-year-old; rather, she is cautious about him becoming a victim of rehabilitation centers that may not possess adequate facilities or resources.

“I have always been a champion for the sober community and for Elijah’s sobriety. … What I am not ok with are establishments that exclude me (his wife) from being part of Elijah’s treatment and hopeful recovery,” King told the news outlet. “I am not ok with pop-up, makeshift, unethical scam rehabs which take full advantage of families in desperate situations and seek to fraudulently exploit insurance companies for services not rendered.”

Marieangela King says she has never had issues with substance abuse

The 36-year-old clarified that she was never comfortable with the concept of her ex-husband being compelled to engage in an alternative medicine routine, which ultimately led to him being confined to sleep within a locked enclosure alongside six other individuals.

However, King emphasized that contrary to common perceptions, she never supported or endorsed Elijah’s drug abuse. She also disclosed that she has never experienced any form of substance abuse, mental health challenges, or addiction issues.
